In 1925, the world of perfumery changed forever. Shalimar, composed by Jacques Guerlain, was unveiled to the public and introduced a new style—the Oriental—that would go on to enchant generations. Inspired by the legendary romance of Emperor Shah Jahan and Mumtaz Mahal, and steeped in opulent vanillas, balsams, and musks, Shalimar marked a turning point: a scent that was bold, sensual, and unmistakably exotic to Western noses.

This fragrance is our tribute to that historic genre—not a replica, but a reinterpretation. Rooted in the classic Oriental structure, it draws from vintage inspirations while embracing the richness of raw, natural materials.

The journey begins with a sparkling top of Calabrian bergamot, sweet orange, and neroli, laced with the spicy warmth of cinnamon and coriander. Bright, warm, and slightly sweet, it evokes the glowing first light of a golden age.

The heart turns more intimate—jasmine grandiflorum, orris, and ylang-ylang form a floral core that is lush yet balanced, anchored by nutmeg and the soft, animalic suede of leather. These notes pay quiet tribute to the elegance of early 20th-century French perfumery, when florals and spice danced in tandem.

The base is where the soul resides: a deep, resinous blend of Portuguese labdanum, Balsam of Peru, and a house-made deer musk tincture, layered over the creamy richness of Indian sandalwood and vanilla absolute. Together, they create a drydown that is sensual, warm, and hauntingly enduring—echoing the smoky, sweet trail that defined the earliest Oriental masterpieces.
